What's Happening:
From 31st of July 2023, Ports of Auckland will introduce PortConnect's Cost Acceptance service. This will allow users to accept container costs such as Demurrage, Customs and MPI Charges via PortConnect.
PortConnect has also recently introduced Cost Acceptance for the Port of Tauranga so some customers may be familiar with the process.
This function will go live from the 31st July with a 4 week transition period, and will then be mandatory from the 28th August when customers of the port will no longer be able to send emails for the acceptance of costs.

Accepting container costs via PortConnect will require a login to the PortConnect website and an existing account with the Ports of Auckland.
Why is this happening:
To improve our service to customers, facilitate 24/7 port operations and to continue to provide self service solutions to our customers through PortConnect.
