Pilotage is mandatory on the Waitematā Harbour for vessels over 500 gross registered tonnes; our pilots board one to two nautical miles north of the Rangitoto Beacon. We operate two pilot boats and four to five tugs on the Waitematā Harbour 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
We provide routing data and maps for our customers in a variety of formats to allow pre-planning, monitoring and safety management during the vessel's pilotage within the port.
