Nearly two weeks since the last mediation meeting on the Collective Agreement, Ports of Auckland and the Maritime Union of New Zealand (MUNZ) returned to the negotiating table today.

The Union clarified several of its bargaining positions for consideration. The Port will review these carefully overnight, ahead of further talks starting at 10.00am tomorrow morning.

Immediately after the meeting the Union issued a further strike notice for a seven day period commencing 7.00am Friday, 16 March.

This extends the current strike period over four continuous weeks (from 24 February).
