Port of Auckland is undergoing a major software upgrade of our Terminal Operating System (TOS), known as N4, which is the nerve centre of our port terminal operations. Used by over 500 ports worldwide, N4 controls the movement and storage of cargo and is essential for optimising our assets, labour, and equipment. Our current version of N4 is outdated, and this upgrade will ensure we maintain the resilience and efficiency needed to meet the demands of our customers and keep the port running smoothly.
With this upgrade to the latest version of N4, we’re setting the foundation for a more modern, secure, and data-driven operation. The updated system will includes enhancements and features that will improve productivity and decision-making, helping us deliver better outcomes for our customers and the port.
Go-live is planned for 2025, and we have a clear set of controls in place to ensure the transition is as seamless as possible.
We will be communicating with customers and port users regularly as we prepare for the upgrade in 2025.
